The cabinet has approved the signing of the memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on 19th December 2015 for the construction of railway from Nong Khai to Bangkok. The route is from Nong Khai to Map Ta Phut and on to Bangkok. However, Thailand and China still cannot agree on the cost of loan and budget for the project which already resulted in a delay in the beginning of the first phase of the construction.
