Plus Property reported the price of condominiums in Bangkok in the first half of 2015 went up by 35% while the market saw a 21% reduction of supply from the end of 2014. The current price per square metre is now at 131,000 baht, increased from 97,000 baht. Condominium units priced within a range of 100,000-200,000 baht per square metre is the most demanded, representing 84% of the total sold rate. While units priced above 200,000, and below 100,000 baht per square metre represent the sold rate of 60% and 49% respectively. Due to a close proximity to the rail mass transit system, affordable price, and potential good return on rental market, locations such as inner Phra Kanong-On Nut, Ratchada-Ladphrao, and Chatuchak-Bang Sue are the most popular choices among buyers, representing a sold rate as high as 87%.
