The Transport Ministry has chosen the Rangsit area as the location for the new northern and northeastern inter-provincial bus terminal. The plan for the exact location of the terminal can be either side of Phahon Yothin Road and not be further than the Thammasat University’s Rangsit campus in northern Bangkok, while the current Mor Chit 2 terminal will be downsized and returned to State Railway of Thailand for the train hub at Bang Sue. The construction of the new terminal is expected to begin in 2016 and be available for services in 2018.
